Privacy policy

Last updated 22 October 2026

This policy explains what PromoShopping.ai collects, why, and how it is protected. It applies to visitors to this website and to shops that use our service in Great Britain.

What we collect

  • Sign-up details: shop name, business name, type of shop, number of stores, your name, email and WhatsApp number, the suppliers you buy from and roughly what you spend each week.
  • Your supplier accounts: which suppliers you use, with depot and price tier where you tell us. If you give us a supplier login it is stored encrypted, used only to look up the prices offered to your own account, and removed when you ask. Nobody on our team can see the password.
  • Restock lists and results: the lists you send and the orders we send back.
  • Billing details: your subscription, the payments you make and the invoices and receipts we issue. Card payments are handled by our payment provider; we never store card numbers.
  • Messages you send us through the contact form or by email.
  • Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited), and a security check against automated sign-ups, kept for security and reliability.

Why we use it

  • To provide the service you have signed up for (performance of a contract).
  • To bill you and keep accounting records (legal obligation).
  • To answer your questions and improve the service (legitimate interests).

We don't sell your data, and we don't use your lists or your supplier prices for anything other than your own comparisons. Other shops never see them.

Who we share it with

  • Our technology provider, who runs the price-checking platform for us under a written data processing agreement.
  • Our payment provider, if you pay by card.
  • Hosting, email and security providers who process data on our behalf under contract.

How long we keep it

Account and billing records are kept while you are a customer and for as long as tax law requires afterwards. Messages are kept for up to two years.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, delete or take a copy of your data, and object to or restrict some processing. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). Send a request through the contact form and we reply within 30 days.

Cookies

During sign-up we set one cookie that remembers your confirmed email for an hour, and the security check sets its own. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
